Rich Record Store Day 4/22 Offerings!
here are some "must haves"
This year's RSD offerings are many, varied and of great interest whatever your musical tastes. The lead image shows the Craft offerings that includes the first American mono reissue of "Chet" by Chet Baker, Jonathan Richman's country record "Jonathan Goes Country" from 1990, Travis's "The Invisible Band Live", and others.
Here are some great ones. At the bottom is a link to the Record Store Day listing of all titles. From there you can see how many copies will be available and by clicking on the individual title, get more details, including, for many, who mastered and from what source. Some are all analog cuts by Kevin Gray or Bernie Grundman and many will be major treasures like the Blakey 3 LP live set issued by Gearbox in the U.K. in association with the Blakey estate, the Dirty Projectors/Bjork collaboration (the image of a mountain with no lettering), the reissue of Magnetic Fields' debut, the 5 LP Grateful Dead set featuring Boston Garden May 7, May 8th Ithaca and May 9th in Buffalo, the full score of David Byrne's "The Catherine Wheel" and on and on! This year's RSD is the week after AXPONA, which is great news!
