NEW! Revox B77 MK III - a new highlight in analog audio technology

The Revox B77 is a true icon in the audio world. Famous and awarded for its outstanding sound reproduction and high-quality, sustainable construction, it sets the standard for analog audiophile excellence. As a Revox product, it reproduces music exactly as the artists recorded it in the studio.

With the new B77 MK III Stereo Tape Recorder, the Revox development team has now redesigned this special product and improved it with significant new features.

The entire electronics have been optimized with the components and simulation options available today. Proven components are still used, such as improved original Revox pickups with a considerably longer service life and the unique Revox motors. The result is this outstanding new version: the B77 MK III.

All the new details, such as the audio technology for even better sound reproduction and recording quality, the precisely manufactured, high-quality Revox pickups, a digital counter, the ability to play all common tape standards, a wide range of connection and optional expansion options have been perfected by our developers, technicians and designers. The B77 MK III is manufactured in the Revox factory in Villingen.

The result is an extraordinary sound experience and an immediately recognizable yet visually new highlight.

Built For Eternity

Like its predecessors, the new B77 MK III is manufactured to the highest quality standards as an audiophile masterpiece and visual work of art and stands for demonstrable sustainability like no other audio product. The high level of production and quality control required for the B77 MK III means that no more than 20 machines can be produced per month.

Therefore, this new Revox B77 is something unique and created for those who are looking for the best and therefore rely on the incomparable sound and manufacturing quality of Revox!

The B77 MK III now closes the circle from the recording studio directly to the living room. Never before has it been possible to listen to analog music recorded in the recording studio at home without converting it to a digital format.

Only Revox offers this continuity of analog high-end, from analog music recording to analog music playback at home! NEW! Revox Analog Master Tapes Collection - for the very best music enjoyment

Every artist wants to be able to record their music in the best possible quality. To this end, recording studios still produce analog tapes of the music recorded in the studio - the so-called "studio master tapes". It has always been Revox's aim to make this quality tangible in the living room - this means "Studio Sound Quality". The exclusive cooperation with Horch House, the market leader in the field of analog master tape copies, enables Revox to create this unique musical experience.

In the Revox KLANGWERK, Revox has now set up a copying line with a Horch House Master System consisting of professional Studer / Revox tape machines. Here, the exclusive master tapes with the original recordings from the recording studios are copied slowly and with the greatest care at 1:1 speed in the best possible quality. From October 2024, something very special will be created for tape lovers in Villingen. With the Revox Analog Master Tapes, they will have the opportunity to enjoy the analog quality from the recording studios in their own living room, completely unadulterated and truly analog.

Whaaatttt??? Nice to see this one again!

Had the old one many years ago and sold it for 1.500 when I decided that this makes no sense for me anymore sound wise and convenience wise. Strange that the exactly kept the outer design, but it creates emotions.

"the ability to play all common tape standards" - I've looked, but not yet found, for what that means. That could be that it supports NAB and IEC equalization....but my interest would grow if it actually means 2 track and 4 track, 15 ips and 7.5 ips....and possibly even more if it supports 3.75 ips at 4 track.... Have we seen a place for more detail of that type?

If you are trying to maximize sound quality, which is the intended buyer, there is no need for 4 track or 3.75 ips. 4 track + 3.75 ips!? I can give you a cassette recorder if you’re looking for that level of sound quality!

I’ve spoken with the US distributor. The deck is 2 track only, it has switchable NAB/IEC. Balanced output only. The big changes are a complete redesign of the electronics and heads greatly improving on their original decks. It’s $15950 delivered in the US. IMO this is a great deal for those who want to experience the capabilities of tape. It’s squarely aimed at the audiophile/home studio market for those who want a new trouble free deck.

So, where are they making / getting the parts to build these (heads, VU meters...)?

Heads are widely available from Photovox and AMP. They never stopped making them. VU meters?! That’s an easy component to source from thousands of vendors.
