Clearaudio Launches New Flagship Diamond Jubilee MC Cartridge

German analogue audio specialist, Clearaudio has launched the Diamond Jubilee MC, a flagship moving-coil cartridge design that uses patent-pending technology to offer the ultimate in vinyl playback potential.

 Limited to just 45 units – representing the company’s milestone 45th Anniversary – the Clearaudio Diamond Jubilee MC is the most sophisticated design in its history. It comes in special edition packaging with a suggested retail price of €25,000/$29,000/£22,000.

 Robert Suchy, CEO of Clearaudio, explains: “The Diamond Jubilee MC is the result of our relentless pursuit of perfection. This cartridge sets new benchmarks in precision, dynamics, and sound fidelity.  Using patent-pending technology, the Diamond Jubilee MC is crafted from zirconium oxide, one of the hardest and most stable materials available. With a manufacturing tolerance of up to 0.001 mm, the highest level of precision and reliability is achieved, while its exceptional resonance stability minimises unwanted vibrations, enabling pure and unadulterated sound.

 The cartridge also evolves and extends the proven technologies of the legendary Clearaudio Goldfinger Statement V2.1. For example, it uses ultra-thin 24-carat gold wire for its coils, which not only enhances efficiency but also contributes to an exceptionally clear and detailed sound reproduction. This is complemented by integrated high-frequency shielding, first introduced in the original Goldfinger Statement, which eliminates interference and ensures uncompromised signal purity.

 An optimised magnet arrangement, featuring high-strength neodymium magnets, combines with a revised coil geometry to deliver unmatched dynamics and resolution. Simultaneously, the newly designed, freshly angled cantilever significantly improves tracking accuracy. The precision-cut Micro-HD diamond ensures unparalleled groove tracking and captures even the finest sonic details with utmost precision.

 Every component of the Diamond Jubilee MC is selected and crafted with meticulous care to achieve exceptional performance. A channel separation of over 35 dB and an outstanding channel balance of under 0.15 dB enable an impressive stereo reproduction.     Ridiculously expensive, extraordinarily musical. My previous Goldfinger stood no chance. A must for Master Innovation owners with the TT tonearm or Statement owners. I also owned a diamond-cantilevered Ortofon Century cartridge. Good, but nowhere near this super-league level. Hopefully, these Diamond Jubilees will sell out quickly. This will allow Clearaudio to trickle down the astounding progress it achieved with this Diamond Jubilee flagship.
